Seren is UK-hosted case management software for charities and support services, hosted by ANS in Manchester. Blue Door Software Limited does not hold ISO 27001. We sign a Data Processing Agreement with every client before we handle their data. We do not train models on client data.
Hosting
Seren is hosted by ANS in Manchester, United Kingdom. ANS is our only sub-processor for Seren client records. Client records stay in the UK. Access, backup and disaster recovery follow each customer's contract and Data Processing Agreement.
Audit, access and sign-in
Seren keeps notes, tasks and changes on the record so staff can see what happened. Permissions restrict sensitive records. Staff can use Microsoft 365 or Google single sign-on. An authenticator guide is published at /support/authenticator/.

Blue Door Software Limited does not hold ISO 27001.

How we handle data
We sign a Data Processing Agreement with every client before we handle their data. It sets out what we process, why, where it is held (UK), who our sub-processors are (ANS in Manchester only), and how data is returned or deleted when the work ends. A copy is available on request before you sign anything.
Your organisation controls the client records you store in Seren and decides how long they are kept. Retention, backup and disaster-recovery periods are set to each customer's own requirements and written into their contract and Data Processing Agreement. When a contract ends, we return or delete your data as agreed in that agreement.
You can ask what personal data we hold about you at any time. Email support@serenonline.org with ‘Subject access request’ in the subject line. We will confirm receipt, verify your identity, and respond within one month, free of charge, as UK GDPR requires. You can also ask us to correct, delete or stop using your data, and you can complain to the ICO. Blue Door Software Limited is registered with the ICO, registration ZA095930.
